Leading Pathology Chain of India Opens Laboratory in Nepal
India’s leading pathology chain Dr Lal PathLabs opened its first international lab in Nepal, The inauguration function was held yesterday at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu.

The chairman & Managing Director of the company (Hony) Brig Dr Arvind Lal, Padma Shri was present during the event which also included senior doctors of Nepal including Director of NPHL Dr Rajkumar Mahato, Chief Pathologist NHPL Dr Runa Jha, Dr I L Shrestha & Dr Pokharel. Doctors from many leading Government & Private hospitals like Grande Hospitals were present during this educative CME. More than 120 people attended this event
Dr Arvind Lal shared his vision for providing quality diagnostic services in Nepal & this new laboratory at Chandol is the first step towards that. He also shared that pathology accounts for 70% treatment decisions & correct diagnosis is very important for modern medicine. He also felicitated Dr Mahato for his leadership & contribution to NPHL,Nepal.
Dr Atul Thatai, Chief Molecular Scientist of Dr Lal PathLabs informed the audience about recent developments in the molecular tests. This includes infectious disease testing, DNA testing, Cancer Markers etc.. The local Pathologist Dr Kabita Karmacharya also interacted with the doctors community

Minister Sh Gagan Thapa Ji & his progressive vision about improving the healthcare of Nepal.
