GOODPASTURE’S SYNDROME PANEL

Goodpasture’s syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by a combination of pulmonary and renal hemorrhage affecting men more often than women and is most frequent between 18-35 years of age. This is an autoimmune disorder with the antibody directed against Type IV collagen within Glomerular and Pulmonary basement membrane. GBM antibody titres are known to correlate with disease activity and hence are used to monitor disease progress.
