1. How many labs and centres does LPL have at present?

We have built a national network consisting of our National Reference Laboratory in New Delhi along with 190+ other clinical laboratories, 1700+ patient service centers and 5,000+ pickup points as of March 31, 2017 with the widest test menu of 4500 tests and panels.

2. How can I find out information regarding a particular lab/centre?

Please follow the steps below to find information related to any LPL lab/centre.

  1. You need to log onto www.lalpathlabs.com and click on ‘Find a Lab’ tab on the website home page

  2. In this case, let’s say that you wanted to locate a lab in Gurgaon. Hence, you chose the option ‘Pan India Network’ and were re-directed to the below page.

  3. In the next step you need to select ‘Delhi NCR’ from the states dropdown and ‘Gurgaon’ from the city dropdown and then click on ‘Submit’.

  4. Once the above steps have been done, system shows all the lab/centres in the Gurgaon city of Delhi NCR region. On this page, you can filter down on the basis of
    (i) Lab
    (ii) Collection Centre
    (iii) Labs with Radiology facility

3. Can I also do a quick search for a lab/centre instead of the long process?

Yes you can do that as well! Please follow the steps below to quickly search for a lab/centre.

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and click on the ‘SEARCH BAR’ in the header section.

  2. Start typing the centre name in the search bar and select from one of the options, as prompted by the system.

  3. Once you select an option, you will be re-directed to the centre details page wherein you will be able to see all the details as explained previously.

4. I want to visit a Lab. How can I see the timings?

The lab timings are visible on the centre page. You need to follow the below instructions to view the same.

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and in the SEARCH bar on top, enter the centre name. in this case, we will enter PREET VIHAR.

  2. Once you select the same, you will be re-directed to the centre details page wherein under the column titled ‘Lab Timings’, you should see the desired information.

5. I want to call a centre and find out some information. Where can I find the contact details?

The phone numbers and home collection numbers for centre/lab are mentioned on the centre details page. To find out the same, you need to enter the name in the search bar and once land on the details page, you will see the columns titled ‘Phone Number’ and ‘Home Collection Number.’

FAQs - Reports

1. Checking report using Lab Number and Password – Single Lab Number Only:

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and you will see a square shaped box titled ‘View All Your Test Reports.

  2. Next you need to enter the lab number (given at the time of sample collection/Report intimation SMS) and password (patient’s last name in CAPS) in the above highlighted section, followed by verification code and then need to click on ‘SUBMIT’ to proceed.

  3. Once you have successfully logged in, you should be able to see the below page:

    wherein if you click on the view/download link, the report PDF open up in another tab. If you wish to share the report with your Doctor or any relative, you can do so by filling in the required details in the box shown on the left and then clicking on ‘Submit’ button.

2. Checking Multiple Reports on LPL website:

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and click on ‘Log In’ tab, highlighted below.

  2. You now need to login using your registered mobile number and self-chosen password (at the time of sign up) to be able to see the various reports linked to your account. In case you are a new user, you need to sign up on the website first (refer to steps explained in account creation process) and then login to see the reports.

  3. Once you have successfully logged in, you need to click on ‘Hello First name’ and click on the tab titled ‘My Reports’, shown below:

  4. The next page then lists all the lab reports associated with the mobile number used for signing up (provided the same mobile number is given at the time of sample collection as well).

  5. To check any report in detail, you need to click on ‘Details’ which will open the page with all the information pertaining to it..

    You can scroll on this page to check values specific to any parameter included in the test or if you want to see the entire report, need to click on the PDF icon which will open up the report PDF in another tab.

3. Linking report(s) not showing in My Reports section:

There could be an instance wherein you might have changed you mobile number which was given at the time of registration and have currently signed up on the LPL website with a different mobile number and want the previous reports to show under this. Not to worry, we will help you in getting the same if you follow the instructions given below.

  1. The first and the most important pre-requisite for this is that you must have all the previous lab numbers/password with you to be able to link them to your new number.
  2. You now need to login to www.lalpathlabs.com with new mobile number and password to be able to access ‘My Reports’ section.
  3. Once you have successfully logged in, and see the page with all the reports, scroll to the end of the page where you will see the ‘Missing Reports? Click here to link’ text. Click on the same to proceed.

  4. On the next page, you will be required to enter the lab number and the corresponding password to let our system search this particular record for you.

  5. Once the record has been found, you will see two options namely: to LINK the report or to CANCEL and go back to the report listing page.

  6. If you click on LINK, the above record will be added to your account and you will be re-directed to the report listing page. Points 4,5 need to repeated each time to add all the previous lab numbers one-by-one.

FAQs - Test Booking

1. Test Booking via LPL Website Home Page

  1. Log on www.lalpathlabs.com and click on ‘Book Now’ under BOOK HOME COLLECTION ONLINE section as show below.

  2. In the next page, you should be able to see the list of tests/packages available for home collection booking. You can filter on the basis of packages or tests as well as sort these by (i) Popularity (ii) Price – Low to High (iii) Price – High to Low (iv) Alphabet – A to Z. Click on ‘Add to Cart’ to add any/all the tests you are looking to book.

  3. If you wish to see the details pertaining to any test, click on the test name and the corresponding details page will open up in a new tab

  4. Once you have added the test(s) , you should be able to see a shopping cart with the added number of tests, as shown below (in this example we added 2 tests)

  5. To proceed, you need to click on the cart icon, which will bring you to the ‘My Cart’ page. If you wish to add more tests, click on ‘Add more Packages/Tests’ else click on ‘Confirm Booking’ to move to the next section for entering patient details.

  6. This section requires you to ‘LOGIN’ to proceed. If you are a new user, you need to create an account using the ‘REGISTER’ option. In case you are not willing to sign up, we also offer the option to ‘CHECKOUT as a Guest.’

On the patient details page if you are booking home collection for yourself, then you just need to check the box titled ‘Booking for Self’ and all your details entered at the time of sign up will be automatically populated. Else enter the patient details, home collection address and click on ‘MAKE PAYMENT’ to complete the booking.

  8. On this payment preview page, you need to check all information entered before and select payment mode (Paytm, Cash on collection, Credit card/Debit card/Net banking) to complete the booking post successful payment.

2. Test booking via Search

  1. Another way of booking tests on www.lalpathlabs.com is to search for a particular test /package that you want to book for home collection. To search for any test/package, the user needs to log on to the website and look for the search bar on top, in the header section, as highlighted below:

  2. The next step in the process is to start typing the test name in the search bar and system starts prompting the name of the desired test :

  3. Once the desired test appears in the search results, you need to click on the same which will open the details page for that particular test, shown below:

  4. To add this test, you need to click on ‘Add to Cart’ post which the ‘My Cart’ section appears with the test added to the cart:

  5. You now need to click on ‘Confirm Booking’ to proceed to the next section for entering the patient details, home collection address and attach the doctor prescription (optional). Please note that you need to be either logged in or must have selected guest checkout, without which you will not be able to proceed.

  6. The last step in the booking process is to make the payment which can be done by
    i) Cash at the time of collection
    ii) Paytm
    iii) Credit card/Debit Card/Net banking

    You also need to ensure that all the previously entered details have been checked before you place the order. Once the order has been successfully placed, you get instant confirmation via email and sms and our home collection team will give you a call within 24 hours to confirm the slot for sample collection.

3. Health Packages Booking via LPL Website Home Page

  1. The 3rd way of test booking is via the dedicated Health Packages section, on the website home page:

  2. The check what all packages are being offered by LPL, you need to click on ‘All Packages’ which will re-direct you to a page showcasing the different packages:

  3. You can filter on the basis of packages or tests as well as sort these by (i) Popularity (ii) Price – Low to High (iii) Price – High to Low (iv) Alphabet – A to Z. Click on ‘Add to Cart’ to add any/all the tests you are looking to book. Let’s assume that in this case, you want to book Swasth Plus – Vitamins Package. Once you click on ‘Add to Cart’ and click on the cart icon, you will be re-directed to the next page as shown below:

  4. To complete the booking, click on ‘Confirm Booking’, log-in using your mobile number and password or sign up (in case of a new users) or select guest checkout and proceed to the patient details section.
  5. Once the patient details, home collection address and doctor’s prescription (optional) have been entered, you need to select ‘Make Payment.’ Once the payment has been done (cash on collection, Paytm, Credit card/Debit card/Net banking) and the transaction is successful, you will receive an email as well as sms confirming the same.

4. Ordering, Cancellations and Refunds

1. I am not sure which tests to book. Can you help me in booking tests?

Absolutely! Please follow the steps below to help us understand your requirement in detail so that we can help you in booking tests.

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and scroll down to the BOOK HOME COLLECTION ONLINE section. There you will come across a link titled ‘I don’t know my tests.’ Click on the same to proceed.

  2. In the next page, you are required to enter basic information about the patient for whom home collection is to be booked as well as preferred home collection date, test names and attach prescription.

  3. Once the information is submitted, one of our team members will call you to confirm the tests basis the prescription and the home collection booking.
2. I have completed my booking! What’s next?

After you have completed the booking, we will send you a CONFIRMATION email and SMS with order details. Our home collection team will call you within next 24 hours to confirm the sample collection slot. You can also check order details through our website or app by visiting ‘My Orders’ section (You need to be a signed up user for that and logged in to check the same).

3. How will I know if the booking is placed successfully?

When your booking is confirmed, we will send you a message. Do check your phone. We will put through an e-mail as well with the details of your booking. Be sure you go through that. You can also check the same in the "My Orders" section.

4. Can I book for my entire family in one transaction?

At present, you can do the booking for only one patient at a time.

5. Where can I see my past order?

Once you have created a login with us and have logged on to the LPL website, you need to click on Hello, patient section on the top right of your LPL website home page and select the ‘My Orders’ tab. Inside this section, you will be able to see all your current and past orders.

6. I have to book certain tests every 3 months. Is there a way to schedule them?

At present, we don’t offer scheduling facility. However, what you can do is to book these tests once using LPL website. Going forward, you simply need to visit ‘My Orders’ section and go to this particular order, select ‘Re-order’, make payment and you are sorted.

7. Can I modify my order after having placed it?

Unfortunately, after having placed your order, you won’t be able to
a) Add/delete tests
b) Change patient name, email, mobile number, home collection address
c) Add discount codes
d) Change payment mode

But you can cancel this order and place a new one with the desired changes.

8. How do I cancel my order?

You need to follow the below steps to raise a cancellation request.

  1. Visit ‘My Order’ section from the Hello, patient section on the top right of your LPL website home page.

  2. Select ‘Order Details’ against the order that you wish to cancel.

  3. Select cancellation reason (compulsory) and click on ‘Cancel Order’ to proceed with you cancellation request. You will receive an email confirming cancellation of your order. Note: if you have booked the home collection for the same day, then you need to call our customer care for cancellation of the same.

9. Can I cancel some tests from my order?

Unfortunately, you can’t part cancel your order. You need to cancel the entire order and do a fresh booking with the required tests.

10. If I cancel my order, how will I get my refund?

Your refund mode depends upon payment mode of order placement:-
i) If you have placed a prepaid order (used credit card/debit card/net banking for placing order), then the money will be rolled back to your card/bank account within 7-10 working days post refund initiation.

ii) If you have placed an order using COC (Cash on Collection), then there is no refund to be issues post the order cancellation.

11. What happens to my money deducted from my credit card/debit card/net banking for an unsuccessful order?

If your card is debited by mistake, there is no need to panic at all! Please just make sure the following at your end.

Please check your bank/credit card account - Has it been debited? If yes please note a failed transaction is normally rolled back within 7 business days.
The time taken can vary from bank to bank and we unfortunately won't be able to expedite this. Please check with your bank for more details. If the transaction is successful and the money has been credited to our account but we will initiate refund within 4-5 business days of your request. The expected timelines are as below:
- Net-Banking - 7 business days
- Debit Card /Credit Card - 7 business days

12. When will I get my report?

Different tests have different report delivery Turn Around Times (TAT). To check the same against a specific test, please log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and search for a test from the header search bar, as shown.

Once you have selected the test (KFT in this case), you will land on the details page which has a field titled ‘Report Delivery.’ This will tell you when you will get the report.

13. Can I know before booking if a test is a blood test or a urine test or some other type?

Yes you can. Let’s say you want to get tested for LIPID PROFILE, COMPLETE. So you log on to LPL website and search for the same. On the test details page, you will come across a field titled ‘Test Type’ which will clearly provide you with the answer to your query.

14. Do you provide component wise breakdown for packages?

The answer to your question is yes. For this demonstration, let us take the example of Thyroid Profile, Free. You first need to log on to LPL website and search for the same. On the details page, you will come across a field titled ‘Components’ which will tell exactly the number of different components this particular package has.

15. I want to see sample reports for test(s). where can I find them?

You can find sample report for tests on the test details page. To open the PDF, you need to click on the image and the sample report PDF will open in another tab.

16. How is a 'business day' different from a regular day?

Business days are otherwise known as working days of the week. Typically, these include Monday through Saturday. Public holidays and Sundays are usually not considered.

5. Payments

1. What payment methods you accept?

We have various payment options to give you a delightful home collection booking experience. These are -

i) Credit Card
ii) Debit Card
iii) Net-Banking
iv) Wallet
v) Cash on Collection

2. Can I pay with any Credit card?

You can choose to pay on LPL with any Visa, MasterCard issued in India.

3. Is it safe to book tests online using my Debit Card/Credit Card?

We use the highest possible security measures to protect our customers’ bank details. All payments are processed through secure and trusted payment gateways. Additionally, a second factor authentication requiring a secure password is necessary to complete an online transaction which adds another layer of safety. So be assured, it is completely safe to use your bank debit/credit card on our website.

4. What happens if my debit/credit card has been compromised while making a payment online?

We do not collect or store your debit/credit card information. If you suspect any such thing, then please report this to your bank immediately.

5. Do you charge extra for booking done via Cash on Collection payment method?

We don’t charge any extra amount for patients choosing to pay via Cash on Collection. However, to avoid any inconvenience at the time of sample collection (exact amount, change etc….), we always advise patients to make payments online via payment instruments such as Paytm or Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

6. Are there any hidden charges?

The amount shown to you at the time of booking confirmation is the amount that we have charged from you (online payment) or will charge from you at the time of sample collection (cash on collection). There are absolutely NO HIDDEN CHARGES LEVIED BY LPL.

6. Account Creation & Forgot Password

1. Do I need to create an account to book tests on LPL?

We are always happy to welcome you as a guest, and it is not necessary to register with us to book tests on LPL. However, registration will only help to enhance your booking experience with us. Also, we are able to keep you informed about your order confirmations and refunds through email. To add to that, you will be able to avail the benefits of discount codes, report notifications, Cumulative reports with trends only when you sign up with us. Need we say more?

2. How do I create an account on LPL website?

You need to follow the below steps to create an account on LPL.

  1. Click on ‘Sign Up’ to start the account creation process.

  2. Enter your mobile number to initiate an OTP request for verification purpose.

  3. Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and complete the account creation process by entering the other required details.

3. Can I add multiple email addresses and mobile numbers to log into my account?

To make sure that your account is always secure, multiple email addresses or mobile numbers cannot be added. For an account, only one mobile number can be used to log in.

4. Do I need to verify my mobile number every time I log in?

As the verification step is a one-time process, you won't have to do it again once your account is verified.

5. What is an OTP or a verification code?

An OTP (One Time Password) or verification code is a password/code used to verify your mobile number when you create your LPL account for the first time. OTP verification will be also be done in other cases like password recovery.

6. I am unable to login and forgot password? What to do?

Please follow the steps below to reset your password.

  1. Click on ‘Forgot Password’ to start the new password creation process.

  2. Entre the mobile number used at the time of sign up/account creation and click on ‘Send OTP’ button.

  3. The OTP will be sent to your email ID provided at the time of sign up/account creation. Log in to your email, check for the reset password pin mail from Dr Lal PathLabs and enter the 6 digit OTP to complete the verification process. You can now choose another password and re-login with the same to access your account. In case you don’t receive the mail, click on OTP not received? Resend OTP link to repeat the mail sending process and then repeat the above steps.

1. What are wellness packages?

Wellness packages are customized preventive tests offered in bundles from LPL, designed for different patient needs such as vitamin deficiency, kidney tests, liver tests, thyroid etc

2. I have no disease and look perfectly fine. Why should I get myself a wellness package?

Growing sedentary lifestyles, increasing stress levels at work place, tempting and enticing food displays, growing disposable incomes, increased addictions to automobiles, all indicate that we give to our body more than what it needs. This has given rise to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and a host for many other lifestyle disorders. With advanced tests and technologies, clinical laboratories can help in identifying various disorders accurately which can be treated completely or at least the progress can be delayed

3. How can I book a wellness package at LPL?

You can book a wellness package at LPL in less than 3 minutes if you follow the steps shown below.

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and scroll down till you come to the section on the home page titled ‘Health Packages.’ You can either hover the pointer on any of the 3 listed packages to know more about them or click on ‘All Packages’ to see all the packages available at LPL.

4. Can I also search for a health package if I know the name of the package?

Yes you absolutely can. Please follow the below steps in order to search for a health package.

  1. Log on to www.lalpathlabs.com and click on the SEARCH BAR in the header section.

  2. Start typing the name of the health package that you want to book. In this example, let’s say we are looking to book Liver Panel. Once the same is prompted by search, click on it and you will be re-directed to the package details page.

  3. On the details page, you can see not only the description of the package but also the price, breakdown of the parameters, type, sample report etc. Once you have gone through these and are ready to book, need to click on ‘Add to Cart’ button highlighted.

  4. In the next section, you can see the package in the cart and confirm to proceed else add more tests/packages.
