The upgraded packages are built to replace conventional tests with more advanced parameters. These updates help detect conditions earlier, improve accuracy, and give doctors more reliable data to work with. 

What Tests Have Been Replaced? 

1. Sugar Fasting replaced with Sugar Choice (F/PP/Random)

Sugar Fasting

1. 1. Sample is taken after an overnight fast. 
   2. This can be inconvenient for some individuals.

Sugar Choice 

1. 1. Can be performed at any time of the day. 
   2. No fasting is required. 
   3. A convenient option for initial screening or monitoring blood sugar levels. 

2. Lipid Profile Screen (Calculated LDL)  replaced with Lipid Profile Basic (with Direct LDL)

1. 1. LDL is calculated, not directly measured

Lipid Profile Basic

1. 1. LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) is directly measured. 
   2. Direct measurement is generally more accurate, especially in: 

1. 1. 1. High triglyceride levels 
      2. Non-fasting samples 

3. Total Thyroid Profile replaced with Thyroid Profile Free (Free T3, Free T4)

Total Thyroid Profile

1. 1. Measures both bound and unbound thyroid hormones. 
   2. May not accurately represent the active hormone levels in the body.

Free Thyroid Profile 

1. 1. Measures the unbound (free), active form of thyroid hormones. 
   2. Generally considered more accurate. 
   3. Reflects hormone levels that can directly affect body tissues. 

4. Manual Urine Routine Examination replaced with Urine Routine (Automated)

Automated Urine Examination offers: 

1. 1. Improved accuracy 
   2. Standardization of results 
   3. Greater efficiency 
   4. Reduced human error 
   5. Faster reporting compared to traditional manual microscopy
